What's Under the City?

Have you ever stopped to consider what's under the city where you live? In particular, Brisbane City? Did you know Queensland hasn't always been the shape it is now? As each ice age moved in and out, so did the coastline and the appearance of the land. When digging for foundations for the Geebung overpass in 2013, many fossils were found. Including crocodile, fish, frogs, snail and plants. The Turrbal people lived around the Brisbane River, according to Tom Petrie. And they called their country near the river, Meanjin. So, what did the first European settlers dig up and build under the ground in our city area?
